CAMBIANO – 16 JUNE 2025

Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, has been named one of Automotive News Europe’s Rising Stars for 2025 in the Design category.

The 15th Automotive News Europe Rising Star award recognises leaders across the European automotive industry who have driven change, fostered innovation and made courageous decisions. The Rising Stars award celebrates individuals under the age of 45 who have demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership and impact within their respective fields.

Amantea, a Turin native, joined Automobili Pininfarina in 2018 and has since become the creative force behind the brand’s award-winning design direction. In 2022, he was appointed Chief Design Officer, and he envisioned the company’s PURA design philosophy – showcasing an elegant silhouette, dramatic proportions and clean surfaces – which sets the template for all future models.

Under Amantea’s leadership, Automobili Pininfarina unveiled the Battista Edizione Nino Farina, the PURA Vision design concept, the B95 – the world’s first pure-electric hyper Barchetta – and the Battista Targamerica, the world’s first coach-built electric hypercar delivered to a client.

Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer, Automobili Pininfarina, said: “It is a huge honour to be named a Rising Star by Automotive News Europe. This recognition belongs to the passionate and talented individuals in Cambiano and Munich, who bring our bold visions to life every day. Together, we are shaping the future of luxury mobility through emotionally engaging and innovative design.”

Amantea and fellow Rising Stars were honoured at the Rising Stars Dinner & Awards on 11 June at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile (MAUTO) in Turin where the one-of-a-kind Automobili Pininfarina Battista Novantacinque hyper GT was recently on display.

This accolade follows Amantea’s recognition in Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Ones to Watch” list in the Arts and Culture category – underscoring his growing influence not only in the automotive world but across the wider design landscape.
